Collection: Waterproof Webbing Horse Lunge Lines
Cost-friendly. Practical. Made for everyday training.
Our Classic Waterproof Lunge Lines are built from durable coated webbing — a smart upgrade from traditional cotton or nylon. Unlike rope lines that absorb water, fray, and hold dirt, these lines are completely waterproof, mud-resistant, and easy to wipe clean.
Available in 6 bold, practical colours, they offer a professional look at a budget-friendly price. While the shades may differ slightly from our BioThane® Head Collar range, they still coordinate well for a tidy, yard-ready setup.
Perfect for everyday groundwork, fitness, or schooling, the Classic Range gives you reliable performance and easy maintenance without the higher cost of premium materials.

Waterproof BioThane® Lunge Lines and Waterproof Lunge Lines – FAQ's
What material are lunge lines usually made from, and what are the pros and cons?
Traditional lunge lines tend to be made from rope, nylon, cotton, or leather. These materials have some advantages - rope can feel soft and dynamic, leather is classic in look. But they also absorb water, retain mud and odours, may fray or stretch over time, and often require more maintenance.
Waterproof BioThane® or waterproof coated webbing avoid many of these drawbacks: they’re waterproof, resistant to odours and mud, wipe down clean, don’t soak up water or become heavy, and keep their shape and strength longer.
How do I choose the right length and thickness for a lunge line?
For horses, the length depends on the type of work: shorter lines (8-10 m) give you tighter control and work well when in enclosed spaces or for younger/training horses.
Longer lines (15-20 m) allow more freedom and are better for larger circles or more advanced work. The thickness matters too - too thin, and the line may cut into your hand or feel flimsy; too thick, and it becomes heavy or hard to manage.
Our Trinkety Equine waterproof and waterproof BioThane® lines at 19mm width strike a good balance - strong enough without being bulky or heavy.
Why is waterproof / BioThane® webbing better than regular rope or nylon lines?
Many riders know of disadvantages of rope or nylon lines and that they easily get soggy, muddy, smelly, heavy or even stiff after wet weather.
BioThane® and also our generic waterproof webbing resist all those: they don’t absorb water, so don't get heavy, they don’t retain mud and odours, and they are very easy to wipe clean after each use.
Also, our hardware and fittings are less prone to corrosion because the materials stay cleaner. This makes maintenance much easier and generally improves the lifeline of your product.
How do your lines compare to rope or nylon in terms of grip and comfort?
Rope can be soft but often causes friction or rope burn when wet or under tension, and it may slip if muddy,
cause discomfort, especially if you spend time handling slack or loops.
BioThane® and coated waterproof webbing give a smooth, flexible feel with secure grip - even in the rain - and are far less likely to cause rope burn. Plus, they won’t fray or tangle like cotton or nylon.
What is the difference between Premium waterproof BioThane® and our generic Waterproof Webbing?
Both are waterproof, mudproof, and easy to clean.
The Classic range offers excellent everyday durability at a lower cost and comes in 6 great colours.
The premium waterproof BioThane® range is softer and more supple in the hand, ultra-durable, odour-resistant, and available in 18 colours that perfectly match our BioThane® Head Collars.
If you want the best finish, maximum longevity, and full colour-matching, choose our Biothane Lunge Lines.
What about hardware? Will it rust?
Both of our waterproof Lunge Line ranges can be fitted with silver chrome hardware - strong, durable, and ideal for everyday use - or upgraded to solid brass fittings, which are naturally rust-resistant and perfect for coastal or consistently wet environments.
Both options are built to last, but if you’re working in coastal conditions or want maximum longevity, gold brass is the best choice.
How do I clean and care for my waterproof lunge line?
Simply wash or wipe down with warm water and soap after use, or disinfect if needed - perfect for multi-horse yards or professional use.
Avoid harsh solvents or extreme heat. After use in saltwater, rinse thoroughly to protect the hardware.
With just minimal care, your line can stay hygienic and clean, flexible, and ready for your training sessions.
Are waterproof lunge lines more expensive than rope?
Up front, yes - but they last far longer. While cotton or rope lines often stretch, fray, or need replacing once they get heavy and waterlogged, our waterproof and BioThane® lines resist weather damage, wipe clean easily, and stay odour-free.
Over time, this saves money and makes daily handling far easier and more convenient.
